Canna caps potency

Friends,

I’ve made these many times and have no idea of the potency.

For sleep and joint pain relief, I use homegrown flower which must be about 25% thc. That’s my guess because those I’ve shared flower with say it matches or exceeds the high they get from legal dispensary weed.

Not of the material is bud from the lower parts of plants along with sugar leaf trim. I use zero size capsules.

A typical batch recipe for me is:

2 oz product decarbed at 222 F for 40 mins.

Infused in 2 cups coco oil plus 2 tsp lecithin for two hours. Yields about 200 caps.

Does anyone have any idea of the thc mg these caps contain? Not sure if anyone can answer this but I figure it’s worth a try.

Thanks!

Well, doing the math is easy enough with various assumptions, one of which is you've fully decarbed your herb which I don't think you did. But, there's still great value in the acidic versions of the cannabinoids and is my preferred use.

Decarb time and temps

The math:
2 oz of flower equals 56 grams or 56,000 milligrams x 0.25 strain strength x 0.85 extraction efficiency ÷ 200 caps = 59.5 mg per cap.

Some of the other assumptions are that you're using well dried and cured herb (not fresh or dehydrated), and that you extract 85% of the goodies from your mash. I use a hand pasta press for mine)
