Can you mix different strains under a scrog?

This summer I'd like to try my hand at an outside scrog and would like to know if I'd run into problems by mixing 3-4 different strains together.
Last year I made a 4' X 8' covered wagon and I'm considering putting a screen on it this year with 6 to 8 five gallon Smart Pots. If I arranged the pots along the outside edges they should be very easy to maintain as far as feeding and watering goes and drainage could run off the deck and onto the driveway. It seems like if I picked strains that "should" flower in 8-9 weeks I'd be OK, but I'd like to hear from anyone that has tried it before or have thoughts on the idea. Also, does 6-8 pots sound about right for this project?

Thanks

Here is the wagon to help visualize what I'm talking about.

This is my first time running a scrog and honestly my opinion is to keep the strains at least close to the same.
It just makes it easier

If you take a look at my journal i have 3 plants under a 3x3 scrog

All 3 have different growing patterns.
So one dominates my net.
one was bullied into being this little runt that only has a few
squares and one is doing fine with the tight quarters

Its not impossible and this is just my preference maybe with more space it will be easier for you.

And that wagon is the best idea i think ive ever seen on 420 lol

Awesome wagon! It looks like you would be able to do four separate SCROG PVC screens on your wagon between the canopy rails?

I would highly suggest over one large one. Just in case you have to remove one or take it out for some reason, and you can separate your strains a little better.

Yeah you can run different strains under the same scrog as both as they have a kinda similar phenotype like most Indica dominate. Also finishing dates should be close to the same amount of days to make it easier to harvest. I got two different strains under a scrog now and they are keeping the basic same height. :thumb:

Ye i don't see why not.

But ye keep em all around the same flowering time, another thing to watch out for each strain grown is expected size mentioned like small, medium & large you might just imagine where this may lead if a large strain is scrogged which may compete with space over smaller strains in the scrog.

You may have to do a little pruning to keep em tame ?

I agree with the four plant idea. 8 would be more trouble and crowding. Unless you're expecting any males or rejects.
Scott's shouldn't be necessary outdoors though and may be more work than reward. Also- after scrogging for a couple years, I personally prefer the beauty of regular natural plants.
