Hi there

I'm just over 6 weeks since I first planted the seed for my first grow.

Had some rough patches but it's still going.

I just have a quick question.

Would it be possible to break of the bigger leaves to get more light to the branches, would this be a good idea or no ?

I added a photos below with circles around the ones I am referring to.

Thanks for the Help :)

Yes ! I did it to my Critical Kush Right now during my First grow .. she has nice buds all over now even the lower buds are dense ! and i had 1 normal Ciritcal which i didnt deleaf and she turned oout real bushy and kinda harder to controll ... i like it better if you dont have that much leaves then u can see better whats going on but thats just my opinion lol ... and when u take of the leafs then dont take it of fully, leave a bit of the stem on it .. it will fall of after a while !!

Here is my deleafed Critical Kush almost ready for Harvest :)

Happy New Year

You will get mixed reviews about defoliation... I am a believer in it and have had great success bigger yields... Not all plants react the same so as you progress and learn how to grow you will discover what works well for "you"... Removing big fan leaves is not a big deal, all growers new or experts do some defoliating... You are still in Veg so nothing to worry about, but when she matures and you flip her to flower it's a new ball game... Below is a very good thread that has been around for a while about the subject... If you choose to go this path start slow and watch and read your plants... They will tell you everything you need to know! Happy Growing!
Defoliation during flowering for greater yields!
