can you tell me if this light is high enough and if it looks like it's over watered or it's just growing and the leaves are getting droopy? It's been about 2 weeks its purple haze if that helps any this is my first female
For help on watering give this a read "How to water a potted plant". In the future start with your soil all the way to the top of the bucket, More soil More roots. From the one pic it looks to be a little over watered. When a plant is dry the whole leaf drops at the stem, Over water, they droop at the tip first. The light seems good with the fan leaf and stem perked up and level. If the light was to close, those leaves would look like taco shells to shield them selfs. If it was to far away the main stem would bolt and get leggy. The leaves would also be streaching way up to get light.
I grew one about a year ago with this light and it got 4 or 5 feet tall I had to rotate it periodically I'm thinking about just investing in a new light for real. Lol
ok but feminized what? there are both fem photoperiod and fem autos.
Point I was going for is photos can be transplanted multiple times with no problems, autos can be transplanted but doing so can stunt an auto and trash your yields. For autos best to start in large final container but then you have to learn to water different.
I‘ve got tired eyes but now I see what’s up, optical illusion… that looks like solo cup but it’s a 5 gallon bucket sitting in another bucket. See if you can find a milk crate or something else to set the bucket on so air circulates better to the root zone. bucket sitting in a bucket does you no good on air flow to roots.
Don‘t think the issue is light spacing so much but light wattage. Can you dig up true wattage draw from the wall outlet on that fixture and post it up here? Do you have a fan moving air nearby?
Yes rather small though I thought about maybe making it bigger because it's really heavy. I regret that like 1/4 to half the soil is ground soil and the rest putting though. I've heard that can block it up. I was thinking maybe transplanting it outside as long as I can then bring it back in. I've got other seeds though so I might just let it grow if it holds up.
Yes I have a fan nearby and the only reason it's in 2 5 gallon buckets is because there stuck together. I couldn't like drill 4 holes on each side so the roots could get air could I?
I was thinking more about drainage than aeration (though you do need both).
To separate the two buckets, fill a tub with hot water and place everything in it for about ten minutes. The water should not be higher than the bottom bucket. And certainly not deep enough to let the buckets bob around. The heat may cause that bottom to expand enough so you can separate it from your plant.
I got some worm castings and this superthrive stuff at home depot I hope it helps. But yeah the very tip of the center bottom leaves are yellow I might just be stressing the situation but I did take it out of the bucket it was in last night and moved it around more than I I should've in the process. I've still got faith in it.
Ok cool hopefully that bucket has been drilled out for drainage - right? Just checking man!
So I may or may not be around tomorrow but this crew will get you hooked up
tell us more about….
how much water you give?
how often do you water?
are you adding nutes?
do you use cal-mag?
do you adjust ph?
what is your light wattage? Look for true wattage draw from the wall
how far from fixture to plant?
what’s your temp & rh?
better pics will help, maybe turn flash on, move to bright room or take her outdoors for photo shoot
What you need to do is keep an eye on is the new growth. This will tell you if you have fixed the issue.
The old growth is not going to show much change and usually will look worse over time. If the new growth starts looking like what the old does now, then you have not fixed the issue.
this could be as simple as overwatering or underwatering but for starters we need answers to the questions in post #15 above. You may have explained all the details in previous post but each time you open a new thread we still need to know your specific setup. Is it soil or is it coco? What kind of soil etc
This stuff matters greatly in the advice we give…. for example soil needs wet dry cycle and ph of 6.3 but coco needs to be fed low dose nutes every day at ph 5.8. It’s kinda like pouring diesel in gas engine yep she might crank up from fuel in the lines but you can bet it won’t run for long
When a plant is showing problems it’s not good to push it with strong lighting as in moving from indoors to outdoors. Plus if you leave it outdoors it may trigger flower much quicker since days are getting shorter.
anywho not trying to be smart ass or a pain but yep we do care how your grow turns out
