I have no idea using that particular spray but it is worth asking as you're doing to check first. As Squiggles notes it is not ideal to spray on buds, but sometimes I think there is no choice and we just have to do what we have to do!

Not a good idea or worthwhile IMO.

First - if conditions are right for mould- it’s going to happen. About the best you can do is buy a little time sometimes if conditions aren’t too bad and are going to improve. But no spray is going to perform miracles.

Copper spray is common on crops and considered to be ‘safe’, within guidelines, to eat. It’s recommended to wash the produce it’s been used on.
Copper is somewhat toxic though. And the spray does kill bees, etc. You can easily google up the safety data on this stuff.

But smoking copper is not the same thing as eating it. In general inhaling heated copper is not a good thing.

From Wikipedia. Excuse the huge text -it’s just doing its own thing.

Metal fume fever
SpecialtyEmergency medicine
Metal fume fever, also known as brass founders' ague, brass shakes,[1] zinc shakes, galvie flu, metal dust fever, Welding Shivers, or Monday morning fever,[2] is an illness primarily caused by exposure to chemicals such as zinc oxide (ZnO), aluminium oxide (Al2O3), or magnesium oxide(MgO) which are produced as byproducts in the fumes that result when certain metals are heated. Other common sources are fuming silver, gold, platinum,[3] chromium[4] (from stainless steel), nickel, arsenic, manganese, beryllium, cadmium, cobalt, lead, selenium, and zinc.[5]
Welders are commonly exposed to the substances that cause metal fume fever from the base metal, plating, or filler. Brazing and soldering can also cause metal poisoning due to exposure to lead, zinc, copper, or cadmium.[5] In extreme cases, cadmium[6] (present in some older silver solder alloys) can cause loss of consciousness.

Signs and symptoms

The signs and symptoms are generally flu-like. They include fever, chills, nausea, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, joint pains, lack of appetite, shortness of breath, pneumonia, chest pain, change in blood pressure, dizziness, and coughing. A sweet or metallic taste in the mouth may also be reported, along with a dry or irritated throat which may lead to hoarseness.[7] Symptoms of a more severe metal toxicity may also include a burning sensation in the body, shock, no urine output, collapse, convulsions, shortness of breath, yellow eyes or yellow skin, rash, vomiting, watery or bloody diarrhea or low or high blood pressure, which require prompt medical attention.[8] Flu-like symptoms normally disappear within 24 to 48 hours. Full recovery often requires one to three weeks.[

If you wouldn’t pour that in a glass and drink it I wouldn’t spray it on something your gonna smoke. No telling what that would do to your lungs. Air flow in your tent along with temperature control and humidity should be at 40-45% and you should not get mold my friend.

I think he’s outdoors so there’s usually not that much that can be done.
Sometimes you can improve air flow by clearing brush or you can even put in fans if you’re close to power, and sometimes you can put a plastic roof over the plants. But really if the weather is going to be shitty and humid you can only expect so much.
It does make a difference which strains you grow, although unfortunately the sativa varieties which are good against mold take even longer to flower.

Sometimes outdoors you can only shake the plants when it stops raining to get some of that excess water off them. That's where some of the big fat cola varieties might be a bit prone to being wet and damp for too long.

I had a Powdery Mildew problem for awhile last fall. Now I follow threads and articles I come across that mention mildews and fungus and the things we use to fight the problems.

Some research on copper sprays has been indicating that it is good at controlling the problem if the mold/mildew/fungus has just started. It will keep it from spreading. Or, start spraying even if there is no mildew or fungus on the plant yet as a way to keep it from starting. But, some articles are indicating that it will not get rid of the problem if the fungus has gotten a good hold on the plant.

This fungus & mold stuff is a nasty problem if it goes unchecked for to long. Some of the very steps we use to get the problem under control also help spread it so it becomes a balance game until it is gotten rid of.
