In my opinion, the hardest part will be building the SCROG net.

There's a certain time when you're supposed to place the net,, which I unfortunately don't know :(
BUT! This topic has some amazing advice in that department, and tons of other great info: How To: Bend and top your way to a 1 pound monster

But otherwise, once the plant is under the net, you keep guiding branches further out by tucking them into further squares of the net as they can reach them.

It's pretty easy brother, just make sure you read about it, check out some grow journals where others have used a SCROG, and take your time with it, and you'll do just fine :Namaste:

i was just thinking it would be the best way to keep them low since the tent is ony 5foot !! i should of bought a bigger tent but its fine for the autos im doing now since im a nubie but i want to get into growing normal photo plants eventually so i thought a scrog would be best way to use the small space/height i just didn't know how hard it would be. thanks for your help brother

I am using a 60x60x160 tent currently growing 3 but could support 4 11L pots. I am fairly sure you can grow indica's in you're tent. You can train you're plants so that they stay low read a couple of other journals they provide a great source of information on how to train them.SRCOG, Fluxing, LST, super cropping are some of the techniques.

Peace &

You also don't need a scrog to keep them shorter. You can get away with just using some paperclips and something to tie the branches down.

This is a plant I'm growing right now:

11 weeks in Veg, 2 weeks in Flower now. And last time I measured, it was only 16" tall. I use some craft ribbon, with loops tied at one end,, I place the free end through the loop, around the branch, and use a paperclip to secure it on the edge of the pot.

Previous plant:

This one was only about 14" tall, and yielded over 2 ounces.

You can do it man, just take your time with everything you do :)

thats sounds a bit easier than trying to make a scrog net also you can rotate them to check for things so il give it a try that way thanks for the help man (",)

ps your plants look good man keep up the good work (",)

It's absolutely easier. But at the same time, don't write off doing a SCROG grow. I think every grower should try every method available of growing, and training, to find what works best for them, and just to learn as much as possible.

I haven't scrogged yet myself, but I'm going to try it for a summer or fall grow, if I can get a net built this summer.

Thanks for the compliment brother. That first plant went through to hell to get it where it is. Massive PH problems because I bought a cheap PH meter. If you can afford it, don't skimp on one. Go digital for sure, and makre sure it's a quality meter. The lowest suggest is a Milwaukee PH600 for around $20 USD, but there are very similar meters, that might be just as good for a few bucks less.

i have ordered one also i ordered a digi thermometer/hydrometer over a month ago before i started my auto grow and there still not here (amazon for ya) :( im using an oldschool thermometer at the moment which works but i have no idea whay the humidity is tho!!

as for a scrog i think il make one im a carpenter so wont be hard and when i tie it down like you showed me and its going okay i might just try it out i would be over the moon if it they wi ended up with buds like in your picture again thanks for the help brother

sorry for typo i ment (over the moon if i end up with buds likes like your picture) (",)

It is not that hard to achieve results like that :thumb:

I use a 90cm by 90cm by 180cm tent myself & i am still a big fan of LST work to this day...

I would use caution on when selecting strains mainly in the growth height area !

Some past indica's grown have reached one meter in height, this pic the plant in the hempy bucket was some 40 inch tall once you factor in bucket size, suitable hanging height distance of bulb used & hood size that plant really challenged my grow area to the last few inches...

So it is practical to learn methods of plant training or grow styles than rather let a plant grown from seed end up way to big...

You can usually find cheap hygrometers in the pet store, in the reptile section. These are also helpful for curing as well, and only cost a few dollars.

You'll have no problem building one then. People usually use coated wire, or they use screws around the perimeter, and use string to go around the screws, some will even "weave" the string (under over under over etc..) for a little more strength.

Duck is absolutely correct, it's not difficult to get those results. But, it's also pretty easy NOT to get those results. It's such a fine line. My grow before that 2 ounce plant, I grew 2 plants, and only got about 17 grams total from both plants. The difference came from information here.

A good watering schedule, ample lighting, good nutes, and training are key IMO.
I was constantly overwatering. My lighting wasn't the best, Nutes weren't bad though I had a pretty good mix, and I didn't properly use LST.

You'll find a lot of great info here: How to Grow Marijuana Everything You Need to Know
If you follow the information, which has been compiled from years of growing experience from other growers, you're going to have a real nice yield, and will never have to buy Cannabis again. :)

Oh.. and it's likely going to be the best Cannabis you've ever smoked/vaped/etc..
