It looks like it might be a fungus gnat. Ive never had them but it looks like some pictures I have seen of fungus gnats.

Those bastards look like thripes. Not sure could be some fruit fly you are sure they are a fly?

I had some flying bug issues in my grow room at one time.

Now I keep a cheap little bug zapper I got on Amazon going in my grow room at all times.

It has worked great. Every now and then I will here a zap and I have not had any issues with bugs for two years now.

That doesn't mean much lots of insects fly. Eg gnats thripes native bees etc. I think it's thripes they hate need oil. Leave little holes on your plant.

Sorry man didn't mean to sound abrasive I just hate the things number one pest for myself!

Turns out we both learned something as another member said they are fungus gnats similar to thrips but different family google them

Yep, its Fungus Gnats. Try picking up some diatomaceous earth and sprinkling it on top of your soil.

If this doesn't clear it up, i have found great success in Mosquito Bits. If you google just that, "Mosquito Bits" it will come up immediately, I use that to sprinkle on my soil, as well as anywhere i have standing water within the grow area. This finished off my gnats completely, i highly recommend it.
