Pusha T is co-signing California's Proposition 64 that will legalize recreational use of marijuana in the state. The rapper known as "Push-A-Ton" may have to change his name to "Push-A-Vote" pretty soon. "What the urgency ordinances do is create a clear line of what's allowed and what's not - so no one can open a pot shop and start selling recreational marijuana illegally", he said to ABCNews.

"The Massachusetts border an hour away from Albany, and just the impact that that will have, the challenges that will come up from NY having to deal with interstate commerce and New Yorkers leaving the state to access recreational marijuana", he said in the report.

The ban will also provide the city with more time to come up with some regulatory scheme to keep an eye on the new drug industry. Growing up to six plants indoors will become legal, but outdoor cultivation could either be banned or regulated.

California voters will decide on Proposition 64 on Election Day, November 8.

"I don't believe the initiative will give us the resources we need to tackle that issue", he said. "Some are doing it out of an over-abundance of caution".

Several Eastern states are among 25 which already allow some form of medicinal marijuana; none in the region have approved the drug for recreational use. For others, officials say banning marijuana locally will protect their communities from social issues that they say outweigh any potential benefits.

The proposition seeks approval and regulation of the recreational marijuana industry, from planting seeds to smoking buds. Ten years ago, 32 percent of adults polled thought that marijuana should be legalized.

So far, 23 California cities and five counties have formally asked voters to oppose the measure, with law enforcement agencies saying that marijuana encourages crime and unsafe driving.

The initiative would also grant individuals serving time in prison for cannabis-related offenses the opportunity to have their sentences augmented or dismissed.

In making her case against Prop 64, Michaels focused on how the state is handling issues regarding medical marijuana, which was legalized in 1996.

Arraj Courthouse, where Hill challenged a law that bans the taking of selfie photos by voters showing a completed ballot, in Denver, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016. In San Diego County, the cities of San Marcos, Santee and National City have outlawed marijuana. "It's not targeted. It's going to be hard for communities that need it the most to get to work on the problems".

But it wouldn't establish a threshold for how much THC (the compound in pot that makes users high) drivers could legally have in their blood, as other states have.

"If [people] want it they're going to get it", said 21-year-old business major Kyle Somatis.

Although he's not a California voter himself, he notes that when legislation passes in bigger states, it often has a trickle down effect. "It's kind of weird".
