Cali OG beginner need help

This is my first serious grow. I am 6 weeks in on a beautiful Cali OG plant. 18/6 cycle . She’s about 2 feet tall. The fan leaves are blue and green. She is starting to show white pistils already. My first question is , is this a sign that I should start to flower?
My second question , I am having a real hard time after germination. I can get them to pop and sprout a tap root but when I go from paper towel to soil the head of the sprout turns brown and dies. Super frustrating. What am I doing wrong? This is getting expensive.
Last question, what is the best t5 bulb for flowering 2500k or 3000k .

Sounds like your Cali OG is ready for 12/12. I'd flip it.

Are you trying to feed your seedlings nutrients? That would kill them. Over watering is the biggest killer of seedlings. I'd bet on one of those two.

Florescent lights: I'd get the specific grow lights. Look on Amazon for the tube you need gor veg and flower.

I agree with shaman. Its either one of those or youve let them dry out to quickly. You should really keep them under some sort of humidome for atleast the first week or two. A plastic sandwich bag placed over the pot works just as well as anything you can buy just make sure the sprout has enough room to stretch her leaves.

Id start a journal aswell my friend. Best thing you can have. This way people can just come in n out and give advice wherever its needed and at every stage of your grow. If you include decent pics people in the know can pick up on things that you yourself would have missed

You can look at my journal and see how I start. I just use Jiffy Pellets and a little flat bucket and plastic wrap. Nothing fancy but I usually don't lose seedlings. The start of the grow is down a little on page 1. Many pictures.

White pistols on 18/6 light schedule?? Sounds like you may have an auto.
