California -- Calexico's City Council plans to discuss wether to extend a ban on marijuana dispensaries within city limits.
On April 21st the council voted to enact a 45 day moratorium on the dispensaries, now they must decide if that ban should be extended through 2011.
The council says there are many issues that need to be discussed before banning or allowing dispensaries within the city.
They say one of the biggest issues is the conflict between California state law which allows the use of medical marijuana and federal law which prohibits it.
