BYRON TOWNSHIP, MICH. -- A proposed ordinance would ban medical marijuana commercial dispensaries and require caregivers to deliver marijuana to their patients, said Planning Commission chairperson Jeff Gritter.
The Planning Commission will host a public hearing at 7 p.m. Monday. The township's moratorium on medical marijuana centers or growth expires June 28.
A subcommittee has been working on regulations in response the passage the Medical Marijuana Act of 2008, passed by 62 percent of the state's voters.
