Brown tips

This question may have been previously asked but I can't seem to find anything that says what it could besides nute burn. The thing is, this grow I haven't used any kind of fertilizer so it can't be that.

I have 4 CFL's on the plant in question and it otherwise looks healthy except for a few brown tips on random leaves. I have soil btw and have not had this problem before.

Any tips on what it could be would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it is most likely nute burn... Sometimes the soil will do that. I would say keep an eye on it to see if it gets any worse. If it does, then get some pics up.. Pics speak a thousand words...If you need help with pics, click the link in my sig..

As Irie said your soil is probably a little hot, keep an eye on it and just keep using water pH 6.5 for now.

Is it just on the older leaves or is the new growth effected also??

Ill go take some pic tomorrow. It seems to be new and old growth affected. Just the very tips of several leaves. Keep in mind this is an older plant so it has lots of leaves. It has been in veg for about 4 months now. I have been keeping it around a foot and a half tall until I can get my box done. Very bushy and pretty except for the tips.
