I'm in process of changing a 5x5x8 ft over from hps to cobs. Materials = 10 vero29 v7 4000k, 14 vero29 v7 3500k, passive heatsinks, 6 meanwell drivers hlg 240h c1400b. The drivers and potentiometers will be mounted externally. Here's a couple pics of current grow waiting to finish. As soon as most are done will be hanging the new lights.

I've been using hps for a while now, tried a few mars lights, and clw 550. I never could find anything to cover a 5x5, without having 3 or 4 lights hanging, that's reason went with diy. Seems like the veros are the best bang for the dollar. Welcome resinousWood, hopefully this will be a entertaining grow ( hopefully I won't muck it up to bad)

Glad to see ya old school, hope you had a good vacation. I popped 7 cali og from cks, but only 2 popped. I started 1 bubba lush and it popped less than 48 hrs. That's odd with cks, I've only had on other problem like this and it was purple kush. I sent them an email, waiting for response.

Thanks cannabeard, hopefully this will turn out to be a good grow. The last pic is what the veros will be flowering. I'm kinda waiting on current grow to finish. I just started flushing all but 3. I should have new lights hanging in next few days.

Sour diesel, white cookies, cali og, and bubba kush. The cali and bubba kush are from seed, the others are clones cut from current ones that's about to finish.

I had to screw couple 2x4 to wall. When I place control board I will have 3 inches of space between board and wall. I do have some wiring on back of panel.

I have 2 20amp receptacles, each being fed by its own 20 amp breaker. Should have plenty of power. After I get light running I am going to build a top feed drop system, so when I'm away for work week or two at a time I won't have to worry about water and nutes.
