Boron deficiency!

How to Ask for Grow Support
It is VERY hard to help diagnose plant problems if we don't have all the required information.

What Strain is it?
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages?
How Many Plants?
Is it in Vegetative or Flowering Stage?
If in Vegetative Stage... How Long?
If in Flowering Stage... How Long?
Indoor or Outdoor?
Soil or Hydro?
If Hydro, Reservoir size?
If Hydro, Reservoir Temperature?
If Hydro, what type of Medium?
If Hydro, what type of Setup?
If Soil... What is in your Mix?
If Soil... What Size Pot?
Size (Wattage) of Light? How Many?
Is it Air Cooled?
Temperature of Room/Cabinet?
RH of Room/Cabinet?
PH of Medium or Reservoir?
Any Pests?
How Often are you Watering?
Type and Strength of Fertilizers used?
Size or Square Footage of Room?

This information is necessary for accurate support to be given.

Early miss strain , 60% indicate 30% sativa 10% ruderalis
1 plant, in vegetative stage, it's about a month old give or take a few days. It's in soil (miracle grow soil which I know is not good but it's what I had), it's indoor, 200 watt equivalent cfls ,it stays between 70 and 80 degrees, my ph tester got stepped on and broke but it was about 7.5 last I checked (I know that's to high but not sure how to lower it cheaply I'm on a very fixed budget, I water every couple days basically when the soil is dry up to my knuckle on my pointer finger, the room is 2 ft wide and 10 ft long and I have started using miracle grow all purpose nutes (I know not the best choice but once again it's what I have)

What leads you to believe you have a boron deficiency? Can you upload a picture?

Here is an image that gives a representation of how each deficiency might present itself.

and this shows the pH range that each nutrient is absorbed

The new top growth started to turn yellow and is now brown it looks like pictures I've seen of boron deficiency, I can get a picture later but now I can't I have to use someone else's camera and they're not home, I really hope it doesn't die this is my first indoor and I've been so proud of it

PH 7.5 er Mmm you might just be able to get away with that !

But depends on when you tested the soil PH & assume with a probe type device like this.

001952.JPG

Soil/compost is in general self buffering & will will return to it's ambient PH level after several to 24 hours later after feeding/watering you can observe this with a cheap probe like the above.

PH 7.5 might suggest you have a hard water type if tested after water/feed etc.

I like this chart as it shows where nutrients start becoming unavailable with in the PH range of soil & not about the PH nutrients/water used !

Boron def unlikely & perhaps a more common problem i would suspect :thumb:

Well we might be able to ride this one out.

In till a pic can be showed it is a little difficult to offer advice !

But can work on common grounds known & first timer boo boo's ye it has happened to all of us at some point :thumb:

Miracle grow potting mix i suspect you have used ?

Well this stuff is heavy pre loaded with nutrients & may last several months plus you have also recently added a liquid feed which may lead my thoughts to nutrient burn symptoms to a potential lock out issue.

Basically nutrients in most forms are acidic in nature, now with miracle grow potting mix with nutrients lasting several months are more likely a slow release form governed by temperature & moisture to release the nutrients, by circumstance it may sound like the slow release stuff has dumped a lot of nutrients all at once causing suspected problems with conditions grown in.

Mildly technical stuff but growing weed is pretty easy to be honest :green_heart:

If you wish to continue the grow...

Stop feeding liquid nutrients it just may cause further problems at present.

I may suggest repotting if you main mix was miracle grow potting mix (to much nutrients) & would suggest their seedling mix for a much lower nutrient content !

Now that is what i'm thinking from what i've read & understand of such with limited information provide... ye a gut feeling but Mmm seems to make sense so far.

We ye i'll more likely be well :lot-o-toke::cheesygrinsmiley: by then & more likely a sleep...

I'll check it out tomorrow, think about what has been mentioned perhaps offer more info & we plus others may share further light upon the subject as best as we can :thumb:

Real quick. To lower ph use lemon juice. Very sparingly as just a few drops will typically start to drop it. I havent read the whole thread as these is where it brought me when i clicked on it, so sorry if someone already gave you that fact.
