Bolivia's anti-drug police arrested an 86 years old woman in possession of 354 grams of marijuana in Santa Cruz, said Thursday the prosecution.
"We found 109 marijuana bags" belonging to the old woman, whose identity was not revealed, said the anti-drug prosecutor of Santa Cruz, Victor Hugo Justiniano, to the TV channel Unitel.
He added that "the lady, aged about 86, was caught trying to sell marijuana openly to consumers." A court will announce in the coming days its decision on the legal process of the octogenarian.
The economic heart of Bolivia, the department of Santa Cruz, which shares a border with Paraguay and Brazil, is a high traffic area for marijuana *edit*.
Some 171.62 tons of cannabis were seized in 2014 by the Bolivian authorities.
