Boiling vat of low-grade weed?

Long story short, I’ve got a bunch of weed I don’t have the time or patience to pick little airy buds off from, but I don’t want to waste it. I’ve posted a pic below and there is more on the way after I’m done processing higher quality colas tonight. Can I just stick this in like a huge beer brewing vat and boil at relatively low temperature?

No, I am not gonna spend a shitload of money to process this stuff, not even on alcohol. Plus last time I tried that I ended up drinking a bunch of everclear and getting really shit faced on work nights, LOL.

Will the trichomes stay in the water? Will they evaporate? And if not, what can I later do with the “tea” to further process if I have time during the winter or something?

Only thing i can think of is fresh frozen bubble hash. If u already have the bags and a refrigerator with with ice maker. Or decarb it and make canna butter in slow cooker. I keep the buds on stems sometimes when im lazy. Lol.
