A Mexican fishing boat washed ashore in Southern California with quite a haul onboard – more than a ton of marijuana, authorities said. The bundles of weed were found stacked in the 30-foot open panga boat when it ran aground just 10 miles west of Malibu near Leo Carillo State Park, according to NBC Los Angeles. Authorities scoured the area and found three men hiding in the bushes nearby, the US Coast Guard told NBC. "When he was detained, he was trying to blend in as a regular beach-goer," Lt. James Royal said. The vessel had been leaking fuel before it washed up on the beach. The authorities estimated that the major stash of weed weighed more than 2,000 pounds – which would be worth $1 million to $2 million on the street. All three men were arrested and face criminal trafficking charges and possible deportation.
