bluelab ph pen

I am confused again....bluelab ph pen instructions is do not put in RO, Distilled or De-Ionized water. Why ? As a new new new grower is there something I'm missing. I use distilled water in my little DWC cloner. What kind of water do I need to use, tap water ? Can someone explain this.

It only means for storage purposes. Don't use that to store it, use the storing solution.
