Howdy all,
Last year I planted and grew out one female Blueberries plant from Black Label seeds. I got the seeds from Soft Secrets after sending in a photo of my mate, Charlie, holding up some huge buds from another grow. I actually had intended to grow it inside in an NFT tank, but due to time constraints and space problems, I ended up just taking the Rockwool cube the plant was in, digging a shallow hole in the dirt, and sticking it in with a firm packing of the soil.
At any rate, that plant did well and aside from some mould problems near the end of the grow which actually forced me to harvest her a bit early I consider that plant to be quite a successful grow! It was truly wonderful smoke. It didn't "hermie" or anything, but it did produce about 60 or 70 seeds which I kept.
My question is this...will those seeds produce only females, or will they be just the same as if they had been pollinated and will have the same 50% ratio between male and female? I want to plant a few in my back garden in a special hidden-away portion of my garden that is secluded enough to be safe, but still get's lots of sunshine. I have a southerly facing garden so the sun is perfect for my plants.
Also, will they be as potent as the original plant? Is there anything special I need to do to the seeds before planting them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to have a few plants worth of that smoke in my pot pantry.
All the best!
