The Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) has selected BioTrackTHC, a division of Bio-Tech Medical Software, Inc., to provide a legal marijuana traceability system to the agency. Accurately tracking marijuana throughout the entire supply chain is a major public safety component of the newly passed Washington legislation, Initiative 502. BioTrackTHC's traceability system will assist the WSLCB with tracking and monitoring all marijuana growth, processing, testing, and retail transaction data by marijuana licensees through the supply chain to help prevent diversion, promote public safety, and collect tax revenue. BioTrackTHC was among the 785 vendors the WSLCB directly notified about the contract opportunity; and out of 22 total proposals submitted, BioTrackTHC was the highest scoring bidder for this historic contract: 1041.65 out of a possible 1200.
