Big pH problem in soil

I've been watering with a water pH level of 8.8. I'm growing in soil. How do I fix my pH problem in my soil? I still can't water for another 2 days.
Is the high pH causing any problems? If not I'd leave it alone. If stressed, I'd water until I got good run off with properly pH'd water. How old are they?

They you could dig them out with a teaspoon and transplant into dry soil... then carefully water with a small amount (~1 oz.) of pH'd water.

Lol good point let me give them a better inspection a d I'll et you know what I do. I will prolly transplant tho
I have done it many times for various reasons. Just be careful, dig as deep as you can. At 12 days you should have a decent taproot forming, try to get all that you can. Just remember to go easy on watering a young-un. You want the roots to have to spread out searching for water. I'm sure you have figured out that over watering is the easiest way to kill seedlings. pH is so important too, you probably should just get it out of there as fast as you can.

Just my 2 cents though, I see you have another thread going where you have also asked for help.

What's the best way to go about transplanting them
Get another pot ready with DRY soil, and make a small hole (1-1.5")
pH your water (I use 6.5)
Dig it out with a teaspoon from the kitchen. Place it in the hole and water with about an ounce..... to settle the roots into the new soil.

Ok thank you I'll let you know how it goes
I don't mean to be a drag but if it were me I'd still transplant them into smaller cups for awhile. It is going to be a real bear trying to water them correctly in those big containers, and it really is easy to do.

With that said, I'll sign off on this thread, and check out your progress on the other one you started... good luck.

I had the same thing happen on my first grow. For almost 3 weeks I was giving them water at 5.1. I bought a shitty multi purpose meter and it didn't work. My leaves curled and they looked rough, but I started buffering the water and they worked out fine. 13oz from 4 plants in 3 gallon pots. Now I use a tablespoon of lime /gallon of soil help prevent this issue.

Right. I didn't have my tester so didn't know until I got it. But everything's good to go now.pH in water is great soil pH is great. And there loving life!!!! I have pics in grow journals in progress. Going to post more tonight. There 13 days old. You can tell the diff phenoms in the 3 PKs
