Best way to clean bong?

was thinking about cleaning out my bong and was wondering if anyone knew of any special ways of going about it...

A smoke shop should sell some bong wash or you can use alcohol... even hot water will do in a pinch.

If you use alcohol or bong wash add some sea salt to it to scrub off particles while shaking the mixture in the bong.

The easy (but not most effective)...

Use 90% or better iso alcohol with salt added. Shake it around inside until the pipe comes clean.

The best way...

Iso. alcohol or better yet Formula 420 with the Buddyz cleaning kit. It is basically just a magnet with a scrubbing pad but it works really well.

Remember to rinse well after cleaning with lots of hot water.

I usually change the water in my bong everyday I smoke it.

Same here. Change the water as frequently as possible and it will stay a lot cleaner!

The only problem I find with the salt and hot water combo is the salt dissolves so quickly you lose the abrasive action of the salt granules. Try 90% Iso. alcohol instead, it has only 10% water in it.

I like orange, most commercial products work good but costly. The peach colored non acetone nail polish remover from walmart cost 79cents. This works most efficiently and is cheap. Of course after using any product wash with warm soapy water to remove any cleaning solution. You really dont want burned cleaning product in your lungs that would be bad (in the good/bad thing heh) I air dry. In this horrid flu season dont share your pipes, unless you are sure of no cross contamination.
