Hello all members of 420!
It is a pleasure and an honor to be in the presence of the finest cannabis awareness forum on the internet!
This website has opened my mind body and soul!
It has helped me understand all the benefits and pleasures to use and grow marijuana for medical purposes.
I honestly believe it will be the bounce back in the USA(nationwide) economically speaking!

I'd like to thank everybody's thread that I have read in the grow journals ( to many people to state haha) and I really appreciate the data recorded and all the help that persists throughout everyone's adventures

in the next few weeks I will be starting my Tsunami of Green (SOG on overload mode) which will be conducted under x3 1000s HPS super lumens :cheer:

hope to start maximizing yields and start creating fantasies for other(s) as they have created mine!

thank you :420:
you have created a MAD BOTANIST!!!!!
:thanks:

High SpiriTHC, :welcome: (again!) to 420 Magazine!

I think you'll find this is the best mmj community out there... Dedicated to spreading awareness of the benefits of Cannabis. :thumb:

Our members are some of the most knowledgable and the most helpful anywhere!

The journals are one of my favorite places here! There's just so much great info! Obviously you've been lurking in many of my favorites journals! I'm not caught up yet, but I think Mr. Krip also has a SOG going right now...

I would also recommend you check out DocBud's journals if you haven't already... although not SOG style, there's tons of great info, and some seriously dank meds! But I haven't begun to scratch the surface of all the great journals around here!

I'm in the process of building a new environmentally controlled flowering room with 3k for 4'x8' space myself. When I started the project I had envisioned I would be done by now, but I ran into some problems along the way. But after replacing most of the wiring in the house and upgrading the main electrical panel I'm just about to start framing.

I can't wait to see your setup... I didn't see it in any of your posts, I'm wondering what kind of footprint are you looking at with 3k?

Good Looks on all that info!
Def helpful on navigating and understanding this forum a little more

now for the floor space
i haven't taken exact measurements because I have not moved into the new place yet to see what I am working with.
What I am thinking on having

Vegging Room
Start 6 - 8 moms
Strains : THC Snow & Black Domina
Have a nice big t5 for all the moms to fit under
And also a t5 over the DIY aeroponic cloner by 420fied
Might have to build another for the demand of more clones!
Plan to use GLR for the lighting schedule to save money and get better growth ( I am influenced )
Some LST and some FIM got to see which way I really wanna control these babies for best production for "CLONE WARS" I will be starting. LoL.

Clones root and then go straight into 12/12
I will use nutes from BPN to support the cause of the business and this forum.
Plus I believe they are awesome!

Flowering Room
Set up two 1000s HPS
They will be the superlumens digital ballast ones
So I can start them off at 600W 750W and then 1000W + Superlumens in those stages as they grow
I will moderate as I see the babies grow
I will use PPM-4 controller for CO2 emissions and moderation
I will have the best ventilation possible.. along with all the meters to monitor.
Save money and be stealth is keyy!

My plan is to fit at least 65 (minimum under each 1000k )

If you have any recommendations or suggestions on the space I will need it will be much appreciated!

I will not be using 2L because I am using something smaller even though height for me is not a problem I wanna keep a low canopy but fat nugs.
but my hempy pots are 5"x5"x6"
being 6 inches tall I am happy so I don't have to cut 2L or paint them (although I am a fan) this was cheaper for me in the long haul and faster! I believe I won't have a rootbound problem.. especially with straight into flower from rooted clone(s) ;)

All in all even though it is my first run .. I believe I am knowledgeable and mentally prepared..My intentions are to be able to achieve max yield in this run..so i am looking for at least 15g per pot ;)PERPETUALLY

Now it's just the experience and the learning obstacles that come from there! :thumb:

I believe with support of :420:
WE CAN DO THIS !!!

Tsunami of Green
Who's ready to surf the giant greens?
:yahoo:

I think you said this is your first grow... You have some lofty plans for a maiden voyage! It sounds like you're doing enough research to be successful, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly! I can't wait to see everything up and running.

Before you get going, I can't remember if you said you were in the U.S., but I have to ask if you are... Are you familiar with the federal sentencing rules for over 100 plants?

I'm using a Lumatek 1000w dimmable ballast now, and love the flexibility. I think 1000 watts is supposed to be good for a 4'x4' space, that's what I'm using it for, but if you can control the heat more wattage is almost always better.

You should be able to fit 64 plants in 2 liters, in a 4x4 grow tray no problem. SteveHman was trying 4" PVC drain pipe with a cap: Stevehman's Advanced LED's Height Test - 720W - Gigabud - Grow 5.0. With something that size, you could easily fit 81 plants in a 4x4 space!

Are you planning on using a tank or generator for your CO2? Ideally you'll want cooling during daylight more so than ventilation, so you're not venting out your CO2. I'll be using a total environmental controller in my new space to control all aspects of the grow room.

:Namaste:

Yeah I will have some sick ass expensive fans running to cool everything

I was thinkin of getting Sentinel CHHC-4 controller to monitor the room
especially with the digital ballasts i don't see any interference and will allow me to keep and exact track record of whats going on.. if i come across any hopefully it wont be too late and i can keep my first grow a success.

i will have 99 plants ;)

i was thinkin tank for the c02
any recommendations whether which one i should use?

I'm going to be using an air cooled natural gas generator. It has a 4" internally finned aluminum tube that runs over the burner...you attach 4" duct to each side of the tube and vent the heat away. My hoods will also be vented. All of the cooling air is coming from outside running through hoods, etc. and being vented back out (or inside the house in the winter).

My setup allows me to do this. I'll be using a CHHC-4 too, it makes controlling everything a snap. But everyone's situation is different, if you can't get gas to a generator it's not even a choice. Also if you can't keep your room cool you might have problems with a generator. The other thing to consider with a CO2 generator is that water vapor is a byproduct of gas combustion, so if you're already in a humid environment that might be problematic.

I believe tanks are almost always more expensive to run, but that might vary depending on what it costs to refill them in different areas. If you use a tank the CHHC-4, and probably other Sentinel controllers, I just haven't looked at all of them, have a fuzzy logic feature for controlling CO2 levels that is supposed to work really well. Other than that, I don't know too much about using tanks, or the different CO2 regulators/emitters.

On the digital ballasts, Lumatek says their's are one of the best shielded ballasts available, but still warns of electronic interference...if you listen to AM radio you WILL hear it. If I remember correctly, in the manual for the CHHC-4, Sentinel says to keep the controller at least 8' away from electronic ballasts.

:Namaste:

+REP

thanks for being so helpful!

Yeah I am def going to get the tank
I can manage with the tank it seems like an overall easier run with that
And shouldn't cost too much since I am using CHHC-4 it should keep everything effective and cheaper overall.

and in the summer humidity can def become a problem to do the weather.
So i am better of with the tank :p
