i just started about 2-3 weeks ago. i put 12 seeds in a wet paper towel first, they started goin pretty good. when should i plant them? i already tried to put 2 that had white sprouts about an inch long each in 2 different pots with good soil and a grow light over em. can't tell yet if they are goin good...

as i said, just started, waiting for some $$$ to get some more lights and supplies. its in my closet, about 3x5 one 60 watt grow bulb, hoping to get about 3 more. going to get a couple flouros too. got some good potting soil.

My advice would be to get your supplies BEFORE growing.

As soon as your seeds sprout, they should be planted. Put them a few inches from the surface and give them enough water. Then cross your fingers ;)

ok, got 5 seeds planted with a couple inches of soil over em. fingers are crossed. should be goin hopefully by the end of the week for lights

You should listen and buy supplies before you start. It takes 3 to five months to grow a plant to maturity. With that time, all sorts of things can go wrong.Planning and patience would help a long way.
Good luck with ur grow. Three seedlings is a good number to start with.

Make sure the lights are very close to them... flouros can be a couple inches away. You don't want them to get too stretched :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hooray!!

Good luck, and keep us posted ;)

should i give it some fertilizer? i've read that it helps sometimes...if so when? i've already looked at some miracle-gro for indoor plants

Did you use a premix soil with fertilizer in it?Pot plants are very easy to burn with ferts so if you use them, use only half the recommend amount. When I grew in soil ,I didn't use nutes until the flowerstage, because it was easier for me to not overfeed the plants.

Miracle Grow isn't bad, but requires a decent flushing.

Head down to your local gardening store and check out the organic fertilizers.
If anyone asks, you grow herbs like basil and parsley ;)

By the way, miracle grow makes weed tastes like shit, use organic if you can like sexy said and if you get to the final stage of growing ask about flushing ur plants.

dude, if u bought any mirical grow, throw it out the window, if ur talkin about ferts for sprouts? i used superthrive, i know its not organic, but it helped me in germing my seeds, i got full sprouts in 2days, as for ferts when the time comes, try some alaska fish ferts, total organic, and very good. pretty cheap too. lol come on vexy, u know as well as we do, when walking into that store, dont say shit, that is your personal life, no one should intrude on that, and if they do, drop what ur doing, and do not buy from that store again, if they ask for any kind of address or even a phone number, just leave.

I'm fully aware of the importance of discretion.

But if you walk into a store and start asking about fertilizers (or anything else for that manner) there is a good chance the staff will ask what you're growing (and how) so they can answer your questions better.

So it's always good to have a back-up plan ;)
