I know of a plant
Beautiful and robust
a strong thriving plant
believe me you must
It begins inside a seed
triggered by water and light
and then a single shoot pops out
all squiggly and white
it becomes the roots
and on the other end the sprout
it reaches through the dirt
until it reaches right out
its from that moment on
from the first glimpse of the sun
that an amazing process
has just begun
it drinks up the water
and it soaks up the rays
getting bigger and stronger
with the passing weeks and days
then when the time comes
the blossoming will begin
its the plants way of saying'
that it wants some pollen
sticky hairs develop on
the plants surface
just waiting for some pollen
serving their purpose
and the buds begin to get larger
as they slowly fill resin so thick
the top of the plant gets heavier
until its bending over like a stick
the aroma gets so strong
that unlike a flower
you don't even have to be close
to feel this plants power
and then the day comes
when its time to harvest the fruit
and start the process over
from another seed and a shoot​
