Its probably just a bit of emulsifying, the nutes can sometimes make the water froth very slightly. Especially with an air stone aerating the mix

I noticed the grodan rock wool so I wanted to ask if you got the app? Grolog, it's free from grodan and it's really good to keep track of your grow. Heights, nutes, problems etc.

Here is an update of my 7 golden girls! Thoughts and concerns are greatly appreciated, almost all 7 have started their first set of "3" tipped leafs. All diferent growth rates due to all being unknown strains! . also should I be hand watering later in the day, the automatic drip system feeds them with water for 5 mins every morning, just worried mostly about nutes burn which I think some of the very first leafes the "single" leafes do slightly.... nonetheless I'm very happy with the progress so far keep on keeping on my friends . .

Gherbo21 since i am going to be using the same nutes as you. Are you noticing if your ph levels go up from just plain water or down? Im curious as my ph of plain water is 8.1 constantly till i ph down it. So it looks as of i will be using ph down more frequently than ph up unless the nutes change that

I mix the nutes in the Rubbermaid tub, with tap water, I let it sit for 10 mins. Than I use the PH reader and see what it's at and I make it in between 5.6-6.2 I'll check what it's at in the reservoir! My plain water is usually around the same and we have a Rhino filter to filter the water so it's cleaner than regular tap water it's all filtered!!!

Ph is at 6.2 currently. It starts out in the low 8's, also I have a water filtration system so theirs no chlorine which is a huge bonus!

Here they are again, all 7 were sprouted out of the Rockwool on the 22nd of January, halfstrength nutes on the 27th. Going to be skipping a week and start a week flush on the 3rd of February! Thoughts and advice are greatly appreciated NOT SURE why they don't look the happiest... ph at 6.2 an I am also going to start hand watering 2 times a day on top of the drip system.

I wouldn't worry much about the blueing, when I was doing a hydro grow in my box the starter plugs would get white/green ish during the time it was in the box. Some people say it's from the light causing stuff to grow in the medium, so I put covers over it to keep light from causing algae to grow. But mine wasn't rock wool.

As you feed it should wash it down, and also near the end of your harvest you will flush with straight water. Nutes can build up, and they will be flushed down as you continue to water.

Sometimes it's from overwatering, these first few weeks the plants are pretty small and need very little water. I'd try skipping the evening watering and see how the auto water does for them. These like a slightly dryer medium to build roots, so a moist medium is good, soaked is not. I think once they get some good leafs out they will perk up.

But just for learning sake, I'd try skipping the extra watering in this early stage.

When mine are sprouted I water them once every 4-5 days, soil. Small 1/2 gal pot. In hydro the medium and roots dictate how the water is used so it's hard to explain. You have water touching the bottom of the Rockwell cubes?, so it is wicking the water like a sponge up to the roots, but also causing the roots to search a bit for the water that is lower than the medium. Eventually you will have huge hair balls of roots below your plants.

I'm also pretty new, but this is what I have noticed and done. So take it not as rule, but as a suggestion from my experience as limited as it is right now.

Hope it's helpful
