If you top dress but bottom water this may not be the best method. I would do some top watering just to get that guano further into the soil. Typically for bottom feeding, get the guano dissolved into the bottom water and feed that way but be careful, guano is some strong stuff!

Ok so just srinkle a top layer then water in? I was thinking it would be more more difficult to take in from the top, i wasn't sure if it is safe to water from the top now as all the buildup from bottom feeding might be there? Really how strong is it? what can happen?
Organic nutes are not recommended to be put through the auto pot as it can clog up the system apparently.

canna terra vega but plant has been flowering a couple weeks and i wanna stop using chem nutes or at least cut down to a smaller amount if possible as i've heard it wont taste nice.
Careful with that stuff so you don't burn them. What is the N-P-K of it? Bat guano can be all over the place. Some of it is high 'N' and some of it has almost none but with a lot of 'P'.
Canna makes good nutrients. The buds will taste just fine. I would stick to the canna nutes. The guano on top probably won't be an issue if you are bottom feeding but personally I would scoop it out with a spoon and add fresh soil on top. Just keep on the canna and flush for a week at the end using just water and it will flush well.
