Balls! It Was Only A Matter of Time

Yep, my luck finally ran out. I had four sure auto, fruity females (2 blueberry haze, strawberry and a pineapple Kush) Came across some really nice smoke (Sour Diesel) few months ago and thought I'd see if any girls would come out of it. I figured I could stay on top of it, and if any/all turned out to be male, I could pull them out quickly, so I planted four seeds and put them on the opposite side of the tent. By the fourth week, everyone looked happy and healthy, but nothing showing sex. So went away for the weekend, without a concern.
Came back and guess what? Right. Two of the plants had the gall to reveal itself while I was gone! That quickly!! I swear there was nothing to look at when I left that Friday. Let that be a warning to you:-/ So I pull the two out, not thinking about covering or anything, because it didn't look like anything to be fearful of, and I did check the other two, and they were fine...OR were they?

The third one flashed me three days later. I removed it, and was ready to toss the fourth one at any moment. I was happy because the balls were so new I didn't think pollen was even an issue, right? I was excited to see that the fourth one was fine...Or was he?
The girls grew strong, pistils and heavy resin-coated - nice. Those are the first four on my link. The surviving rogue plant grew taller, but with mucho pistols showing, which suggested a long season ahead. If you look at the last image on the end, you can see how healthy it is, and that's it all over, but there is no resin anywhere on that plant, and the pistils are at least 50% brown right now. I have no idea if that's normal or not, but it's not an auto-flower, so it might be?
So I checked the plants often, and kept an eye on the last one. I flush plants twice - first time usually around the 30-40th day after transplant, because as much as I like Foxfarm, I don't trust all the nutes in the soil, and I worry about that salt buildup. I decided to test one of the mini buds this weekend because I was curious. Just as I trimmed the bud, I felt something hard between what appeared to be a calyx with white pistols sticking out of it. Pulled it apart - there was the seed. Dammit! Tossed the torn bud into a warm oven, went and pulled the plant out of the tent and placed it in a separate room. My first hermie and if I hadn't checked, I would have assumed it was a total girl!

Holy Shit! Two hits knocked me on my ass! This was stronger than the smoke we bought with the seeds in them, and no, there was no harshness, which is why I flush twice. My concern right now is that my blueberry (The second image) might have been violated in all this drama. So here's my question(s):

1. How long does it usually take for a regular growing plant to develop resin, and are there plants where resin doesn't develop? Could the lack of resin be due to it possibly being a hermie itself (I don't know if it is, just wondering).
2. The impact of the Diesel was more than impressive, but how much damage can pollination do to the blueberry? The other plants are okay, but the blueberry has distinct signs, and I'm thinking about putting her in the tent with Diesel. Will it really be less potent? To the point of it being a waste? I guess I could always learn to make hash, but hopefully it'll maintain most of its potency. Fortunately I have two.
3. How long does pollen last, anyways? I'm reading now that this can get serious, even stating that people shouldn't casually walk through rooms with a male plant, especially if it's ready to pop.

Geez, my fourth grow, and it seems like the moment I think I'm getting a grasp on this, something else happens and my learning curve gets steeper.:(
