Ballast

So I got a 400w HPS ballast and a 400 MH bulb. I was wondering if I could power the MH bulb with it, or if there's any danger if I do it? Great forum by the way. I'm happy to be part of it

You are probably safe using it, but not all ballasts are universal. If your ballast is digital, chances are even better. If it is dimmable and multi-input voltage, the chances are better still.

HPS and MH bulbs do have different striking and run requirements.
