The court case of a Coominya family allegedly involved in a large-scale marijuana grow operation has been adjourned for three months.

It is alleged officers from Ipswich's tactical crime squad found 900 cannabis plants at the family's Wattle St property during a search on April 16.

About 300 of the plants were allegedly bring dried - or were already dried - in preparation for sale.

In relation to the incident, 69-year-old grandmother Pauline Bridgett Edwards has been charged with drug trafficking along with her children Kurt Lee Edwards, 38 and Karl Allan Edwards, 42 and 17-year-old grandson Blake James Edwards.

Police will allege the amount of cannabis was far too much to be considered for personal use only.

During the bust, it took police several hours to gather the dried plants, with the product filling several 200-litre plastic barrels.

At Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday, crown prosecutor Jessica Van Hoof said the prosecution needed to adjourn the matter for three months to analyse financial material in relation to the charges.

The four accused members of the Edwards family are all currently on bail, but did not appear in court yesterday.

The matter has been adjourned for a committal mention on August 12.
