NORFOLK, Va. -- While prosecuting others on drug charges, it appears that Virginia's assistant attorney general was dealing drugs as well.

Assistant Attorney General Steven Lederman is out on bond.

Police say he sold drugs out of his home in Norfolk.

FBI agents were tipped off that Lederman would drive to Washington, D.C. from his Norfolk home to buy marijuana so that he could resell it in Norfolk.

The informant also said Lederman would sometimes swing through Richmond on his way home and pick up coc*aine.

Detectives followed Lederman on one of his treks and then arrested him.

Lederman was charged with felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed weapon.

Neighbors say Lederman has three young children and has been going through a divorce.
