Being a newb, I started my first grow without any planning. I recieved AK-48 seeds from a friend and planted them in little cups. THey sprouted and I kept them under LED lighting....i used to propagate corals so I understand the whole light requirement parameters.

Week 3 the little girls went into a 4x4x80 grow tent with 1000 watt LED grow light app. 3 feet above plants. Everything good. Switched from mineral water to tap water. It was at this point I added nutes at half strength for a couple waterings. Plants never bounced back.

Anyway, the plants are 5 weeks in veg and I have just switched the lighting over to flower stage. I used Shultz moisture plus soil and tap water with a ph of 6.6. 2 weeks ago I noticed that the plants started to yellow. I was leaning towards nute burn but now that I have not used nutes in two weeks the problem is continuing. Here are pics and hopefully I can get these girls turned around. Any help would be truly appreciated. Thanks

Is it effecting new growth or just older fanleaf, is it traveling from lower leaves up the plants or attacking all over at same time?
What is the TDS (ppm) of your tap water? Is it well or city water?
Looks like phosphorus deficiency...?

Affecting random area's of the plant at the same time. No tds. I had a meter and cant find it.....so not sure on that. City water. I fill a 5 gallon bucket and let it sit for a couple days. I thought it was nute burn but.....I am thinking a deficiency now. Here is another pic of the issue.

If you are using tap water then it could be Chlorine. I keep a tote outside my grow tent. Water from the stored water then add new water to replace it. This way, all water going to the plants has sat for at least 24 hours.

I used mineral water and then switched to tap water. I thought about that...but I also let my water sit out. It could still be chlorine though as I am not convinced that the whole 24 hr waity thingy really dissipates all of it.

There's your answer.. your water. Tap water you have no idea whats in there. They change things at the water company all the time to keep bacteria count down to nothing which means what they add to the water to kill bacteria also kills the beneficial bacteria and other living organisms in the soil that actually help the plant take in nutrients. If you have well water, then you need to test it and see what you are unintentionally adding in.

Get a filter .. they sell cheap portable filters for RVs that hook up to the hose, I've used them with good results.

I use a Camco 40043 TastePURE Water Filter - get it on Amazon for $17 free ship... we use this for outdoor gardens and have used it for canna in a pinch (I use RO water).

Your pics are pics of plants dying.... sorry to say. Leaf necrosis is what it is. Clean filtered water and no chems bring the plants back. Me I'd transplant into fresh soil and filtered water, but thats just me. They are small enough not hard to do.... it's gardening.

I am going to do just that tomorrow. I already put them in flowering....soooooooo????

Pet stores sell stuff to put in water for fish tanks. This helps in a pinch for tap water. Cheap and easy to have around. it only takes a drop or 2 per gallon.

Amazon just delivered my RO unit.:blunt:

RO buddy FTW :cheertwo:

You can still transplant even if you are in 12/12 specially just starting out. I have a plant that's been in flower time for 4-5 days and is just about to show flowers. She's only in a #2 nursery pot. I have another plant thats about to get harvested so I will harvest, dig a hole in the harvested plants pot remove some of the old root ball, in goes the new plant and back into flower.

Handling them gently is key... you get good experience with transplanting and its 2nd nature. Take time, gentle touch and some Mycos +amendments and they don't skip a beat. In fact they are happier to be in a larger container.

RO water ... must have IMHO... good luck...just water them for a week and see how they improve.
