FRESNO, Calif. - An arrest warrant has been issued for the operator of a Fresno medical-marijuana dispensary who has been jailed and released at least three times.
A Fresno County Superior Court judge signed the no-bail warrant for Rick Morse on Friday.
Authorities tell the Fresno Bee that Morse ran a medical marijuana dispensary until it was shut down by the city in May, but then he opened another dispensary next door.
When Morse failed to appear at a hearing Friday morning, the warrant was issued.
In an ongoing battle with Fresno officials, Morse was jailed three times in May for violating a court order issued prohibiting him from selling marijuana.
In each case he was released in a matter of hours or a few days.
