^^ What Sueet said
I don't judge by trichomes but yes the pistils must be at least fully shrivelled red
The resin turns from sparkly to a slightly duller white, that's when I harvest

btw those buds are tiny, looks like a deficiency of everything - what is your growing media/method?

Auto flowers, 1 was small, the other 10 days later is taller.

ocean forest doesn't have enough nutes on its own to finish a plant. it looks like the plant used all the nutes in the soil then started eating itself, then turned fast to finish under the stress, resulting in poor plants.

feeding them properly would have led to much larger healthier plants with decent production. they've done fantastic with what they've gotten.

I have the feeling that they are talking about the size of the buds themselves and not the size of the plants. The buds do look small.

If there is 2 or 3 more weeks to go then then buds should be closer to full size by now. The last several weeks finish it off by adding bulk and weight.

For the next growing session consider adding a fertilizing program at the recommended dosages to avoid the weak yellow color. If all goes well you will get better weight and quality at harvest.
