Are my indica strains ready for flowering? Help!

Hi friends,

As this is my first post in the forum I am greeting you all,:Namaste:.

I am a new grower who is at the 4th week of growing Nitromatic by Power Seeds. I hope that she will become an indica beauty. However I have some questions that need to be answered by experienced growers. At the end of my message you will see all the pictures.

I have basically two questions.

1- From the pictures below you can see that there are pistils( I am not sure if they are called that way I am talking about the flowerish things which you can see at the photos) visible, is this an indication for me to switch to flowering lamps?

2- As you can see I took some photos of some sick leaves. Can you please tell me what is the problem?

3- If you have any further recommendations I will be grateful.

Thank you for your help:cool: :tokin:

she's an auto flower so you can keep it under 18/6 - 20/4. she's already flowering :) my question would be what type of light do you have available? it will do fine under veg spectrum but adding some red would be good.

auto's are infamous for nute burn. i didn't look real close but that is probably it. a little more info please :) soil, nutes, ph etc

you'll know they'll ask lol.

welcome to 420 :Namaste:

Hi,

You can find my setup below.

Soil:Regular soil for flowers
Nutrients: Micro, Grow, Bloom
Light:

2x75 Watt(hanged from the top) + 2x23(placed on sides)=196 Watt (white)
2x75 Watt(hanged from the top) + 2x75(placed on sides)=300 Watt (yellow)

It had been 4 weeks with 18/6 lightning.

My question is what should I do to get more yields. Should I keep it to grow at vegetative lights or should I switch to my flowering setup?

Cheers

so the flowering set up must be different than listed?

do both at once :) if you can.. the more light the better. i'd leave it at 18/6 all the way. stepping up to 20/4 might give a little more, but not worth pissing her off in any way lol. looks like you are doing really well otherwise. go easy on any nutes. ime, auto's don't need much at all. especially if you have a strong soil like you probably have. you might be able to finish the run with just ph balanced water. maybe some sweets at week 6.

for the future to increase yields.. more light. always more light lol. check out some of the LST (low stress training) threads.
and hang out here at :420:

I've already done some LST training worked great for me I will be adding the flowering lights as well after I get another fan.

Thanks man :rollit:

Hi, leocan. You might consider uploading those images to your gallery here. Since some folks won't want to view off-site cannabis images for security purposes, more people would see them if you were able to post them directly into your thread.

Something else you may wish to consider is posting a thread in our grow journal forum:
Journals in Progress
That would undoubtedly get your grow noticed by many more people than this thread will. It would give you an opportunity to gain more knowledge - and others the opportunity to learn from your grow.

What type of light bulb are you using?

What type of light bulb are you using?

currently a Mars Reflector 144, 2 300's and a 600 in a 7x7 tent for veg and autos. the 144 alternates with the flower tent 4x8 that has 2 of the Mars 192 reflectors. that's just the warm season lights lol. i've got another 2000+ watts of HID for the cooler months :) and if that was not directed towards me then brag moment complete :bigblush:

Happy 420!!!

highly recommend this! i've been growing for almost 30 years, but auto's only for about 6 months. certainly no expert lol. Thanks TS!

I've grown off and on for about the same amount of time and my only experience with autos was putting some outside when an acquaintance gifted me a couple dozen seeds. That wasn't really satisfactory for a number of reasons and Ruderalis crosses were mostly sh*t back then anyway, lol. Recently, I have read good things about the strains Think Different and Auto Xtreme, and was almost tempted to procure some. I didn't, because they don't really suit my growing style. But I'll probably start reading a few auto journals out of curiosity.

I'm no expert, either. I try to learn something every day (on a good day, I can get it in before noon and coast the rest of the day ;) ). And that's a good thing - life would be so boring if there was nothing left to learn.
