Anyone used Doc's kit in an apartment?

I was looking at Doc's kit again, because I'm frankly sick of seeing all these gorgeous crystally buds and not having them, and I am wondering how everyone manages to find space to mix it all up. The instructions I found said I need 60 gallons of containment, so I figure I could buy two 30 gallon sized trash cans or maybe some extra large plastic totes, but still mixing up 60 gallons of stuff in an apartment sounds messy--I make a mess when potting up into 3 gallon pots.

Was wondering if anyone who has done it has any advice on this. I guess I could lay down a big tarp in the living room and put the cans over that and mix up, and then that way I just have to pick up the tarp to pick up the dirt?

Also, does it have to be used in 7 gallon pots? Again, everything is made harder by a small apartment, and carrying around big 7 gallon pots (as well as filing them up) is not as convenient for me.

While not an apartment, I am in small house. I use 2 30g totes from Lowes or Walmart or one of those places. I think they were 10 or 15 bucks each. :circle-of-love::peace:

Do they cook up in those just fine like, there's not a heat/smell issue or anything? I wasn't really sure how many people were doing this indoors versus outdoors.
