Anybody here pull 8 oz+ per plant in soil?

Hi there Grow Buddies ! I'm wondering if there's anyone on this site who pulls 8 oz. per plant repeatedly growing in soil ? I've been trying & trying for 5 years to do this & only pulled it off once. But ever since I've dialed in my environment my yield has gone down to 4-5 oz. per plant. Did much better when I fought high temps & low RH. Weird !
So if there's anyone out there who does pull 8 or more oz. per plant in a soil grow indoors I would love to read your journals & follow.
Not interested in DWC, Hydro, Coco, etc. Soil only & if you're using FFOF that's even better. I'm not interested in SCROG as the extra time it takes to fill the net makes it not worth while to me. I usually Quadline my plants. In my current journal I have 4 plants that will be 4 weeks old on 3-3-22. They look about the size of a 2 week old plant to me. Haven't topped or trained at all yet.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong or where I'm screwing up; so I can sure use the help.
Please post a link to your journal here if you pull 8 oz. per plant. I'm dying to read & learn. Thanks !

Hey Buds, I grow in soil that I started a few years ago from SubCools recipe and then each year since I have tended to find more things to add. My last grow I got about 22oz from 3 plants, and the year before it was about 23oz, I think in each of those grows there was at least 1 plant that passed 8oz. I grow in 30L (8 gallon) and 50L (13 gallon) pots that have been additionally drilled out as home made 'air pots' as at the time I couldn't buy those locally to me. All in all I feel it is down to the soil. My links are in my signature. Cheers

Here is an autoflower i did a couple years ago—>

A bit fried but still pretty big. Gold Label special mix soil.

Doing one in coco now, 90 days from seed and wich will be a 700++ grams plant.

That does look a weighty specimen indeed, and in quite a modest pot by the look of it as well. How was it to smoke?

Thanks ! I'll check out sub cools recipe.

My soil started with my approximation of SubCools, it wasn't exact because I couldn't get his exact ingredients, but over time it has evolved to something different. I have used ingredients from Clackamas Coots recipe too, which is a really good one. I have mentioned the amendments in my journals but I couldn't off hand say where.

Going on my previous grows I'll be hoping to get over half pound from my Mulanje, assuming no screwups between now and harvest time of course! This was taken yesterday. Cheers.

Thank you. It’s a 15 liter pot. Can’t remember the smoke out of that one, think i trade it away for friends.

Got the same strain running atm, can give you a review of that one once it’s done :yummy:

Bigger roots bigger shoots. Then you need proper genetics.

No way to make a sows ear into a race horse that I know of.

I've pulled 15 zips off a landrace sativa I ran indoors a few years ago.

I grow naturally and more of a vertical grow - using all the space in my grow room under the lamps.

Normally 3-5 zips dried and hand trimmed in the can. So 4 plants under 600w of light = 12-20 zips dried trimmed. Thats plenty for me specially since I grow for quality.

Also can look at it from a time perspective - how long does it take to grow that 12-20 zips. If I VEG 6 months sure no problem. Growing normally with a 6 week veg time I plus 8-10 week flower I can grow 4 flower rounds and IF I veg somewhere else - flower rounds finish every 8-10 weeks then do your math. Thats for a 4x4 or 5x5 space.

Best to get your grow shtick optimized, the yield thing will follow.

Hey Bud

All of my photos have been 10 z and up. I run them in FFOF w amendments in only 5 gl pots. My autos I only use 3 gl pots so my max has only been 5.25 z but I run them specifically for their size, obviously in those small pots

My biggest grows have naturally been since the addition of the @Mars Hydro FC4800 in my flower tent and when I began using @Prescription Blend this past October

Idk how I can help but shoot me any thoughts or questions.

Can't get much more optimized. I use a 14,000 BTU AC, 6 gal. humidifier, 22 pint dehumidifier, 6" exhaust, 6" intake, controlled by a Saturn 4. I do 4 plants in 5 gal. pots in 4x4 of my 4x8 tent. I've tried many different lights from the old P900's to 800 watt Bar Lights. The thing that seemed to work best was a Mars Hydro TSW2000 over each plant. In my current grow I'm trying 4 Viparspectra Par 1500's which are 155 Watts each.
I'm using Mega Crop nutrient calculations supplied by Mr Sauga & In the Shed. I use my Lux Meter to determine Light Height & Brightness which I'm running 42,000 Lux at about 24". What else can I dial in ?

Yes, @013 mentioned you & your plants. I was planning to check out your journals this weekend. Looking forward to it.
Thanks !

Outdoors I average over 10 oz./plant. Last summer was 22 oz cured from 2 plants, and one was half the size of the other. Mimosa photo's. FFOF soil in raised beds, FF nutes and cal-mag. Outdoor greenhouse with no roof.
I wish I could grow outside. I'm working on that though. Last year I planted Oleanders down one side of the house. This year the other side. Then nobody can see too easily & I'll grow in a locked dog kennel.

He's awesome. Love my Helpful Henry. Feel free to browse around Buds, hope I can help in any way! And btw..I wish I could grow outside too, when I retire, it is a necessity

I average 9.6oz per plant with a 6-8 week veg. The most I've gotten on a plant is 12oz.

20-25 gallon pots
LOS
How big of a part do you think different types of soil play as far as bigger, healthier plants that yield more ?
I know you know your stuff so wondering what your take on it is.
I've been using FFOF since my 2nd grow. 1st was in Miracle Grow.... but let's not talk about that one.... lol.

Thats a loaded question.
I think a proper Clackamas Coots soil with plenty of aeration and aged compost is always best.
But then again you can take the very best soil ever made and put it in 3g plastic pots and have a plain FFOF in 25 gal fabric pots and the FFOF would no doubt blow it out of the water.

So best soil in proper size pots for a LOS is what you're looking for.

Sorry folks can't grow outside. Been on the fence about outdoor growing lately.

Outside in fifty gallon holes with solid/natural soil averaging a pound a plant is pretty doable.
I find outside the bigger the plant; the bigger the problems.

Generally outside I prefer to shoot for four to six ounce plants, especially with gorilla grows.

Pretty much clipped a few fan leaves and pushed the branches down fairly low maintenance plant.
