Any differances in bagseeds?

I'm using a variety of tall flowers/plants to cover my grow. among the mix is 2 varieties of sunflowers. I couldn't help but notice how different(size, color, shaped lil different) the seeds were. So now that I'm looking over the bag seeds I have to wonder if there is any way to tell whether it's a indica dominate or a sativa dominate or auto? I'm guessing not since a hybred could in theory have seed traits of one but plant traits of the other. and I would have heard of it by now but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Hello "oldhippie" I have been trying to ascertain how is it that seeds are feminised and have yet to have. Are they sprayed soaked or what. Or is it from a cloned plant. I would say they way to tell is by where the seeds came from. I know my seds have tiger stipes and some do not. Some have been soft which I've heard is not good. Then there were some that I could not crush at all so it is anyones guess. i will keep seeking out the information.

well you know the sex chromosomes right? girls have 2 X's right? with plants in certain situations they can grow fully functional male parts/pollen but they still contain the 2 X' chromosomes so with this pollen fertilizes the the female and the chromosomes combine there's no Y's for male seeds. To get a female to grow male parts(called a hermi) can happen by genetic tendency or accident or by chemical treatment. they say it's better to use chemical treatment so your seeds don't have the hermi trait in their make up.I think it involves a silver compound too
My seeds (after tossing bad ones) fit into 3 categories small black olive color, large(twice size of small) tannish color and medium chestnut striped ones. I decided variety if the spice of life so i'm germinating some of each I my even document which category produces what type of strain.
