The President of the Hemp Industries Association (HIA) and Oregon State University, College of Forestry, Industrial Hemp Lecturer (WSE 266), Anndrea Hermann M.Sc, B.GS. P.Ag describes how hemp could become a viable option for Oregon farmers to grow, thus creating jobs in the hemp fiberboard and building materials industries. She believes Oregon can become a recognized leader in the environmentally conscience fiberboard manufacturing of the twenty first century.
Anndrea has a wide range of knowledge from hemp fiber & seed agronomy to hemp building applications. She is the owner of The Ridge International Cannabis Consulting and is a partner at Hemp-Technologies, a company who produces Eco-friendly hemp houses in the United States.
In our interview, Hermann explains a few things Oregonians can do to further the hemp effort within the state and gives advise for future hemp reform. She is working to build a sustainable future through hemp education.
