An led / hps question

i was wondering if the 400 watt hps light would block out the light from the led's ? when i turn that light off the leds shine much further much brighter does that make much of a difference ? do the photons from the hps push back the ones being emitted from the leds ? or does me noticing this even matter ? does the light affect the other light is my main question i guess ?

It's not pushing back anythiing. the lumens are hitting the plant.. the HID is just brighter so it outshines the LED's.

so the visual spectrum i see doesnt mean shit to the light spectrum being emitted from both even tho it looks to me like the hps is way canceling out the led's.
