Aloha Grown With Sunny

@BeezLuiz I forgot the camera part lol! I just use my iPhone 10 and a tripod and a set of $30 lenses I got off the Zon. The tripod came with a remote to snap pictures. Sometimes I’ll set the tripod up or I’ll just hold the tripod like a selfie stick and use the clicker.

My hands can shake really bad from a lot of hard drug use in my youth along with opioids so I usually take picks after I’m smoked out and medicated pretty good. Cannabis saved my life. I can usually get some good macro shots if I stay at it. I’m gonna try get some good ones as the plants come down.

Some bud shots from last night before bed.

Sending you all lots of love and positivity from Hawaii as always!! Have a blessed aloha Tuesday!!

Put on your thinking cap, Sunny and see what kind of answer you come up with. MANY people will want to know your opinion. You now have a good bit of experience growing autos and have grown a number of different strains. Well some growers are looking for maximum yield, others potency, and some look for a body high while others seek that head high. Taking all of the above into account at this time what would be your "go to" auto strain if you could only grow one? And then if you would which of the strains you've grown has the best average of yield, potency, ideal high?

Hey what happened to my picture above my name? Didn't I used to have a peace symbol?

Put on your thinking cap, Sunny

@beez0404 Okie dokie artichokey! It’s hard to pick just one and the jury is still out on this next 8 plants.

Also add in to the equation that I’ve only grown one plant from each strain so I might have not got the best pheno type possible.

Up to this point I would have to say the Cream Mandarine XL Auto from Sweet Seeds. She is loud and smokes great.. the one I got yielded decent and was super sticky. Literally my favorite to toke and has a pretty well rounded high/body stone.

Ahhh, I remember that Cream Mandarine XL plant. It prompted me to buy a 3 pack for myself actually. Sweet Seeds seems to have it going on with the auto strains. Consistently good plants from what I'm seeing.

Good Morning Sunny! Thanks a bunch for the auto recommendations. I'll definitely be taking a close look at these during my seed shopping this winter. :green_heart:

I'm very surprised, and impressed that your pictures are taken with an iPhone. I might even have to take back some of the negative comments I've made about Apple products over the years... maybe. :laughtwo:

Not the best pictures I've ever taken but okay enough to tell what's what. I snapped a photo of a bud on four different autos in my 8 pack. Three of them appear to me to need at least 10 more days as the trichromes are just starting to get cloudy. The Blackberry Kush is starting to get close. Can you guys/gals see enough tell and share your thoughts?

First up is Trainwreck. She is tiny but I've grown it before in perlite and know she packs a wallop.

Next is the Blackberry Kush auto. To me this one is starting to get close to ready. I'm looking for mostly cloudy trichromes in all the plants.

This one is the Quarter Pounder auto from one of the auto seeds I bred about 2 years ago. Another very potent auto strain.

Finally is a picture of a Blue Cheese Special auto bud. This is a cross of two Mephisto Genetics strains. A smallish plant to be sure, but I believe they would all benefit from being grown in Promix or Perlite and fed MC. This one does indeed have a cheese aroma mixed with a little sweet and a little fuel.

I'm not trusting that new preview button so here they are sight unseen.

Aloha @BeezLuiz Lol I take a lot of pictures just to get a few good ones. Sometimes I can’t get any good shots at all but I just stay at it.

Sometimes the lighting comes out different from photo to photo too. Eventually I get a good one though.

Here is a example of how the lighting comes out different with the flash.

They are looking frosty and delicious my friend. I agree another 10 days will do them good. I’m at 70 days from germination on the older plants and I’m gonna let them go a bit longer. I want the pots to dry out naturally before I starting cutting the ready ones down.

Couple nug shots this morning

hey @Sunnyskies just joining in. Congratulations on winning the photo of the month. That was some sexy picture so it made me come here and i see hole lot of more sexy pictures. :bravo: Girls looks phenomenal!

Some great colours on the buds and leaves. It's like a frosty autumn. :thumb:
Aloha Vet! This has to be my favorite part of the grow besides the harvesting and smoking part. I love watching a cannabis plant fade and show off her final colors.. something so honest and true about it. It brings out this great sense of gratitude and appreciation for these plants

Looking superb!! :thumb:

Mahalo my Braddah. I’d smoke a fat spliff with ya if I could. Nothing but lots of positivity that you find work and ohana is solid my friend. Aloha!

Aloha! @PK Mahalo for the kind words And stopping by. Feel free to join in anytime. Always got room over at Sunny’s. I do my best with the pictures! I love these plants and I love growing them as mush as smoking them. I also hope that maybe through my own experience another person may find something useful if they happen to grow the same strains. Hope all is blessed my friend!

Gonna smoke this spliff of kalishnakov auto and write out some thoughts and effects in my notes. Easier to copy and paste later for a smoke report.

Enjoy iT!! :Namaste:

Aloha All!

Some pictures of the set of plants that will get chopped in a few days.. These will be the last full body shots of the of them so I took them out of the tent and got some snaps of them in the dark.

The Trichomes heads are mostly cloudy with maybe 20% amber. I imagine I’ll get a bit more amber over the next few days. Pots are drying up nicely before the chop.

Sending you all lots of love and and positivity from Hawaii as always!
@Momma’s Kitchen Aloha Momma!

awesome pics like always!

I harvested this plant yesterday and wet trimmed it up. The strain is Train Wreck from CKS. It was the smallest of the bunch and should net about 14ish grams dry. My good buddy enjoys this when it's taken about a week early. It is his wake and bake flavor of choice.

Aloha and good morning all!

Mahalo @MrSauga for the link! I honestly thought I was in trouble for my ramblings of a seed company we aren’t supposed to discuss. It take me a little bit to adapt to change lol..

Aloha Vet! I have noticed that too. Just gonna take time to get used to it stoned.. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Aloha Cr8! I’m still struggling to nail down a list with my indecisiveness but I’m thinking

Bubba Kush
Peyote Gorilla
Black Valley (100% pure Pakistani indica)
OMG (Kush mints x Peyote purple)
Chocolate Mint OG
Garlic Sherbet

Possible Replacements(I’m using the word “possible” loosely here because they all sound crip.. lol)

Chem 4
Peyote Forum
Gorilla Glue S1 Grandpa Tokin
Furious Candy
Grandpa Punch
Acid Dough
Purple punch x jellium

Anybody happen to see something they like or have interest in seeing it grown I’d certainly welcome input.

:passitleft::passitleft:
Sunny...you have some great options, many Ive never heard of. The Chocolate Mint OG sounds interesting. Bud pics are awesome as usual.
