I have a 4" CanFan inline with my filter. The local hydro shop sold me the fan and speed controller together. I assume they know what they are doing but noticed something interesting.. on the controller it specifically states... Do Not Use with Brushless Motors. I double checked and yes all the CanFan brand fans are Brushless. Will I be damaging my fan or the hydro shop selling me junk ? are there better types of Speed Controllers I should be looking for ?
