Alafornia's 1st Time Multistrain Medical Grow

Wow Al, you’ll be trimming for weeks when you fill that 5x10. My back hurts just thinking about it. Can’t wait to see it fill up. Keen Em Green!!!

Thanks, Jdeck. Glad to finally be at this stage.

We had a rough night so never made it out to the plants. They look good. We had rain so the humidifier was still chugging along.

Northern Lights 2.0 has a root so lost her dome.

I did buy some calmag today but since it is just a few leaves I'm going to do some watchful waiting. I've been stressing her a lot with bending branches so I'll try to let her be and see what happens.

Thank you all for offering suggestions.

I also picked up the soil for another round of supersoil mixing but I'll have to wait on the worm castings to get here before getting to work on that.

I ordered the tent. It is a 120 x 60 x 80 inch from Oppolite. It was not my first choice but that was not available and had not been for weeks. Mars Hydro had a 96 x 48 but I wanted bigger. The quality of that offering gave me pause and I almost pulled the trigger on it. It you need a quality tent and the size is good then you should buy it. I saw a MH 9.5 x 4.3 ft but it was like a space saver and there was no actual product. I would have bought it without pause.

Thanks for the help.
Hi Al, this is late but I have a touchy plant now and I'v been giving her 10 drops of calmag/gal every watering. She's not perfect but is going to be ok. Some of these plants just don't seem to be able to use calcium like others. I'm almost positive theres enough still in the pot but ... The amount is from the book I'm getting the basic LOS style from.

Thanks, stoneotter. Haven't used any yet. Lowered the pH last watering. I think I'm going to use some mycorrhizae when I water next.

Looking great there Ala. New tent, with a heck of a lot of room, wow, that thing is huge.. Jdeck is right, you'll have your hands full trimming. Aww, but the meds will be worth it. Doing great there, my friend. Can't wait to see you flip in that huge tent. Have a great evening.

Knock on wood but I think I have almost everything working. Turned off the smaller fans and put the big fans on low. Put the veg light on 195 watts. The ac came on for a couple of cycles and turned off. Crossing fingers.

Everyone got a full watering with mycorrhizae. All except clones going to big tent. I think I’ll flip tomorrow but need to figure out times that make sense. Still thinking on that. Thinking 7p to 7a. Should I run 24 hours of darkness or run the lights more than 24 hours tomorrow night?

Here’s some pics.

I had to lay down the law with a come to Jesus last night. He was still mad this morning and decided not to take his miracle medicine which led to a bad day at school. But then he came home and was quiet with no slamming doors or yelling or stomping feet and took his medicine after getting home and again tonight. So he’ll probably sulk a few days but had to be done. I hope the good behavior continues.

Soundtrack in my head tonight is The Ramones with "Mycorrhiza". :D :D :D

:thumb: The clones will like some mycorrhizae as well, next time they need water. It’s what colonises and protects the roots so promotes healthy root growth. Got any LABs going yet? :battingeyelashes: I still think you should introduce that before even contemplating using a cal mag supplement - you don’t want to mess up your soil if it’s all already in there ;) It’s good to have it on hand, of course, in case remedial action is ever required, but you’re doing really well holding off on using it, so far. :)

I so envy all the space! Although I’d probably end up with too many plants for me to handle

How’d you go working out the power supply issue?

Thanks, Amy. I think you gave a link on the LABs a while back. I'll have to check that out still as my time has been taken up lately but it sounds like I need those. Is there any place to buy these as a product to get me started?

I'm getting ready to take clones of those that didn't survive and never got one of Blueberry so need one or two or her and also will be popping some seeds. Think I'll make a few mother plants with the clones in 3 gal pots eventually. I think I'll go with 7 gal pots for the production plants from now on.

For the power I just turned off some fans, including one I had going in the space to cool me off :D and turned the veg light on the lowest setting and the two big fans to low instead of high. That seems to have been enough savings for now. When it turns colder and I have a big kerosene heater in the space the load will be better. We're about 1 to 1.5 months off from that. Between now and next summer I'll need to get a mini split heat pump which will necessitate new wiring and should be able to add another breaker to break up the load some - that will be the longer term fix.

Sweat it out, Alafornia!! :laughtwo:

Well, Doc Buds “Tea” is about the only thing I’d recommend that would be equivalent to a LABs - and it would actually be superior because its super powered soil microbes, built for growing cannabis in soil. And I’m pretty sure it can be used in any grow.

Read through the LABs process (link to tutorial) and see what’s involved and if it sounds doable to you. It literally 10minutes... then wait while it sits somewhere for a few days, then 10-15minutes and let it sit somewhere for a week, 10-15 minutes and its done. Built if that isn’t gonna happen - DB’s Tea could be the go.

I sweat. A lot! :D

Think I'll get the Doc Buds Tea. Not too expensive and looks like it lasts a long time. Makes more sense for me now all around.

Thanks again, Amy!

The difference after watering with the mycorrhizae just last night is surprisingly good. Wow. The two tents came alive this morning with no electrical issues(knock on wood).

That’s me waiting patiently for the timers to be flipped! Lol!

My flower times is on at 12pm and off at 12am.

I do it that easy because they would get the most attention by me within those times then if I had them turned on at 12am and off at 12pm to try maintain a cooler tent. So I just settled with what I did.

I look forward to that flipping!:yahoo:
