I usually don't start giving them sugars until week 4-5-6. All depends on the behavior of the plants in question. Recently, I have starting feeding plants I am about to put under 12/12 a heady dose of Nitrogen before I start giving them the 12/12 cycle. I've read a lot of expert opinions that say it really helps with their transition. I chose Miracle Grow Tomato for that (18/18/21). Just one feed is all about 3 days before you put them under the 12/12. It also has many times the levels of the other primary nutes and has made a difference in leaf health on my latest batch of plants in the flower room as they kick into full flower making mode..

The standard dose for Molasses is 15ml per gallon. (1 Tablespoon) It is safe enough to use every other watering outdoors. When inside with less evaporation, I would say maybe one feed with that every 4 days in between your other stuff.

Week 7-8 and up to about four days before the chop, I switch to a true FLUSH now using my home made Clearex.

I cracked the bottle today and fed all my ladies with 1TBS and 1/2 dose of bloom nutes mixed with my 2 gallon watering jug. I have been feeding my ladies about every 3 days or so now as I move closer into the final stages. I was feeding full dose 10-30-20, but now have backed to half.

I agree with you on the extra nitrogen boost before transition. I was doing a full 20-20-20 before mine.

I liked your idea about mixing the molasses in hot water. I dropped the 1TBS in like a round plastic tupperware bowl and then turned the faucet to hot and slowly sprayed the water over the spoon that was on top of the bowl until the spoon was clean and bowl was full. Then I mixed the solution with a spoon and it dissolved very nicely. Lastly, I poured the solution into my watering jug and was good to go. I de-chlorinated and de-chloromined the water added my nutes and PH'd. I found the molasses didn't seem to change the PH at all. I was then good to go.

now i have been reading everywhere that Afgoo is a Clone only strain that you can grow??? I dont understand this, how is that i got a bunch of seeds from some Afgoo that i ordered from a dispensary,

I know I am late as usual and you will have harvested by now.
I have been growing Afgoo for 3 crops now.
It is a small bushy plant with the dankest and stickiest bud and leaf I have ever seen. I let mine go for 65days flowering.
As far as seed go: Afgoo is 'Afghani No. 1 x Maui Haze' THE afghani is the Dad.
There is no Dad Afgoo, I did stress my first grow with a light leak and got a few hermies that polinated most of them thus the seeds.
I did not try to grow with the seeds as (In my experience) they produce Hermies.
I hope your grow was great?

No sir, I have not harvested yet!!! I am only in week 5 of flowering outdoors!!!
my afgoos are both currently stretched and now holding at 3 feet and 6 inches!!! and she is starting to flower up!!! I dont have to worry about light leak seeing as how they are both outdoor plants!!! man you need to send me those seeds then!! hermie seeds are usually up to 95% of them will be a feminized seed!!! thats why I got 2 out of 2 but I gave away some seeds a while back and they all were females as well!!!

UPDATE!!!

Long over due!!! here are the Afgoo's for you!!! LOL I have been working on that for about 3 updates now!!! LOL

now as I said ealier, I have now started them on BPN's Farmer's Pride Organics!!! and the buds swelling up are telling me that they are loving that SHIT!!!

Thought I should mention that 70% amber may be a bit too much degradation depending on the strain. I try to go for something like 20% clear, 50% cloudy and 30% amber with Indica strains like Blueberry, GDP, Blue Cheese etc.

Your milage will vary of course so if that ratio has worked for you before with the same strain/clones from same mother then by all means stick with what works!

The only thing I know is that I try to harvest to give me the best body high.
I am more of an Indica person. The plants you were looking at are a Purple OG Kush and a Blue Dream Sativa. At the time my clone selection was limited and just picked a Sativa so I could get a little variety I guess.
According to the trichome harvesting charts I have seen they advise to let the plant mature at its latest stage for a good body high affect. Maybe you are right though by waiting till that late of stage at 70, some parts of the plant may have ripened sooner and then run into the negative degragation factor you want to avoid. But at a 20/50/30 wouldn't that give you more of a head high?

Ah! I assumed when you were after a body high that you were talking Indica. I haven't grown Sativa since my high school days back in the 70s, so no real hands-on with flowering them.

Back then we didn't know jack about trichomes and such. Heck! Most of the time we cut them down and dried them in the oven before we ever saw a flower bud! LOL!

The other half of the time the plant would get ripped off from our yard by pot thieves! None of us knew anything like folks do now about how to grow REAL WEED!

The Internet was still 20 years away to boot!
