Advice, help

I’m still new to growing so I’ve f’d up a few times. But I’m concerned about my plant. It’s Apollo F1 I got it from royalqueenseeds (awesome site btw) and it’s been growing since September but I didn’t have the proper feed for it at first. Anyway I got some (from foxfarm) and it’s been amazing but the plant in the front I just planted last month. They’re about the same size but the older one has started to grow pistils. Does this mean it will start to bud early? I’m afraid I won’t get the max yield now. Can someone tell me how bad I screwed up if I did ! Or if there’s anything I can do at least still get the most out of it?

Welcome to 420Magazine my friend :welcome:
What is your light timer set at?
If your lights are set to veg 18/6 ish? " Veg " - less than 12 hours darkness you have an autoflower.
Both girls are healthy but small.
Make sure once pistils appear you feed them flowering food.
And you should have a painted cup on the outside of your clear cups to keep light away from roots.
They don't like light shining on the roots.
Do you have the package your seeds came in?
Should say Fem or Autoflower.

Well yes, your yield is going to be non existent but that’s okay, because you should have some left over seeds. You planted autoflowering plants, and those will flower on their own. Just pop a couple more seeds but this time provide the plants more soil and more light and you should get something out your efforts.

Welcome..clear cups are not good... and if you are going to grow autos I would would try to start them in a pot, until you get the hang of growing. Sometimes when up potting autos they can stunt and flower early.. hope this helps..if you have any questions I would be happy to help... good luck...👍👍💚. I'm not a expert but I would be happy to share the little knowledge, and things I've learned along the way..

Yes it’s set for 18 on 6 off and I’ve gotten mixed reviews about the potting but so far the cups work for me I’ll transport when they get bigger. And I had no idea autos could do that but thank you for the info! I’ll take all I can get

Here is the Seeds she bought Auto Flowering according to this
I get my seeds from Royal Queen Seeds.

Your right thanks :thanks:
But you really have to search to see where it says autoflower.
A beginner would be forgiven for not noticing half way through the description where it says autoflower.
They should be better designed for anyone who is just starting out.:Namaste:

They are ruderalis , like a dandelion.
They hit a point in growth and automatically flower. Nothing you can do about that.
Good steady growth before flowering is your best bet.
Don't uppot the one in flower now.
Just put a solo cup on the outside to keep out light.
You could run your light 20/4 to improve growth.

I start out with pint containers (soup containers from restaurants; I drill holes in them for drainage. I place these containers in otther containers that I wrap with duct tape. This protects the plants from the light; when I want to look at the roots' progress I can separate the pots and see what I have.
