Strain Name - 818 Headband / Sour OG
From - I grew this as a clone from a local grower. My garden is currently all plants made from that same clone.
When I most recently harvested mid June of 2017. I've currently got two more in flower.
Price I don't know what the going rate is, for me it's free, since I'm on solar!
Type This is 60/40 Hybrid of Sour Diesel & OG Kush. Originally from Cali Connection, however there is some blurring of the lineage as to this strain vs. 707 Headband.
Appearance It's got a lot of orange hair and is a dark green after the cure. It's super dense and sticky too, when I break up a nug I just roll a ball between my index and thumb, then pop it into the bowl and inhale... exhale.
When I roll a joint, I use a grinder first, but the nice thing is when it starts to take shape, it's kinda sticky so it holds that joint shape!
Smell At first whiff of opening the jar it's got a bit of a coffee smell (or diesel), then when I pull a bud out or shove my nose into the jar, that's when I'm hit with the bright, ripe, fruity fresh scent. If I leave a mason jar open in my 600 sqft garage and come back in 5 minutes later there's not a corner that you can't smell it from!!!
Taste Green bowls are the best, hit it like ShiggityFlip!!!! Very refined and aromatic...j/k It tastes good just like dank should taste! Don't hit the bong too hard, it has a nice smooth finish too. Keep the glass in the freezer with ice, then add water before you smoke. Ice hits are awesome!!
Type of Buzz I find the high to be very cerebral. It put's me into zone mode, I can still function, but it gets my thoughts racing. It's almost like being able to listen to my subconscious. I would not describe this as a body high, I almost always go and throw frisbee when I smoke. The way we throw frisbee, you better be able to move and throw!
Length of Buzz I really feel that this is interpretive, but I'd say an easy two hours, and that's about how long we'll go and throw for. Usually there's a couple of beers after a throw session, maybe a snack, then another bowl.
Best Medicinal Use I would definitely have to say this is a great sleep aid, and of course food tastes absolutely amazing when I'm high on 818. I definitely get the munchies when I smoke it!
Overall I really enjoy the high I get from the 818 headband. I would certainly rate it as an easy strain to grow, it was my first in quite some time, and like I said, "My garden is currently all plants made from that same clone." I would not suggest this as a social strain, but I think that's subjective as well. It doesn't make me paranoid, I just don't like being around a lot of people when I'm high, although I did pass around a couple of joints at the Roger Waters show in LA, on June 21, 2017. I was in the Stoney Section... It's a bit of a creeper but again that may have to do with the grower and the cure process.
