EL DORADO HILLS, CA - Law enforcement agents are on the scene of a large drug bust in El Dorado County.
Deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department and the California State Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement seized more than 1,000 marijuana plants from a building located along Esatto Place in El Dorado Hills Tuesday morning.
One female suspect is in custody.
Authorities told FOX40's Ama Daetz 95% of the 4,000 square foot home was being used to cultivate the marijuana.
The residents somehow managed to rewire the home to use thousands of dollars of power without any electricity being registered on the home's meter.
The street value of the 1,000 marijuana plants seized today is estimated at $700,000.
By comparison, the 4,000 square foot home where the pot plants were found is worth $650,000 according to Zillow.com.
