Authorities' raids on three Fresno County marijuana growing operations Friday resulted in the arrests of seven people - including three from Florida who were in the Valley for the sole purpose of cultivating marijuana, officials said.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Narcotics Team served search warrants at three locations - two on the 20000 block of Auberry Road near Friant and another on the 1700 block of Dearing Avenue in Fresno - where 1,085 marijuana plants were uprooted. Authorities said the operations were growing marijuana at a rate of at least three or four harvests a year, and believe the discovered grows are connected to other states.

The identities of the seven people who were arrested were not released. They were booked into Fresno County Jail on felony charges of growing marijuana with intent to sell.

The investigation is ongoing.

I hope that these money grubbers get the book thrown at them. How come they aren't at home in Florida growing??? They come to our State and abuse the laws that were set up for us who are legally growing within the law and who won't profit a iota compared to them. I hope they are put in a nice California Country Club like Corcoran or Lompoc to have a nice vacation on us.
