Hi community,

First time grower. First time poster.

Wanted to share my grow journal with you all!

If anyone has any suggestions on my grow, please let me know! I am here to learn!

Without further ado, let's check out these babies.

Just sprouting up. Sorry for the crappy quality of the pics. The next ones are better, I promise!

From here on I will differentiate between the plants

Plant #1

So this plant has a really nice, symmetrical grow going on right now. What a beauty!

Plant #2
This plant has some asymmetrical growth going on. I think this plant auto-topped itself! (more later)

Plant #1

Still lots of beautiful symmetrical growth.

Plant #2
This is really where I noticed the asymmetry going a bit crazy. You can clearly see that this plant has split, and I believe it was not getting ideal light at the split causing those leaf groups (speculation, not sure if that is why that bunching occurred or if it was just a mutation).
Also noticed some odd growth at the end of one of the leaves, but it never spread and seems fine still.

This was where I did my first pruning and topping on both plants.
This is the also first time I used nutrients. This is my stack:

Plant #2
This one had that really odd growth on it. I decided to just get rid of that entire side. Last picture is the large chunk I took off.

The top you cut off looked like a polyploid mutant top, sometimes they can turn out pretty cool. Google polyploid mutations and you can see some pics. I’ve had two of them in the last 4 grows lol. Your plants are looking good by the way ✌️

Welcome to 420 Mag by the way, great community here✌

Thank you, my dude. Loving seeing others grows. Can't wait to start my flower! It's been 5 days since that picture, I just gave them another topping, and I plan to wait another week before switching the light over.

I have to say that I am really excited to take everything I've learned, and apply it to my next grow (probably go to 4x plants, earlier toppings, and trellis them when they veg out a bit wider).

Plant #2

I decided to keep these girls in veg for a few more weeks, and try my hand at some Low Stress Training.
I anchored each of them near the bottom in the opposite direction of the top bend, rubbed the stems between my fingers, and gently bent them over. I used some coated plant ties and some binder clips to attach them to the pot:

I'm going to wait a day or 2 and see how Plant #2 comes out, but I am considering removing that large fan leaf that extends way above the others. If it grow out a bit before settling, it will be ok, but if it just turns back towards the light, it's going to block all of those smaller nodes on the middle-to-left-hand side of main stalk.

What do you think?
