Hi everybody,
i'm trying to grow some good weed in my tent 40x40x120cm.
The light i use is a Bridgelux Vero 29 gen 7 3500K with a Meanwell Lpc 60/1400,
more or less 50/60w of output.
I will use the Swick method, like the SweetSue's thread with the blessing of Radogast :Namaste:
The light cycle i want to try is the Gas Lantern Routine until the plants reach the 6th node,
then i will topping to the 3rd and set the regimen to 12/12.
The size of the pots, texpot, is 3lt.
For the soil i use a lemon specific topsoil, i plan to add some stuff like worm cast and mycorrhiza.
The ventilation is provided by an usb pc fan and the extraction with a small carbon filter diy is run by a Noctua NP-12.
The fertilizers i have:
BioNova SuperMix, FloraNova Bloom and Seaweed.
I hope to have said all for now.

The seeds are in water for the germination process.
I will update soon when there are developments.

it's a DIY build.
I hope it works.
I have seen that in 60x60 most people use two Vero29,
so...
in a 40x40 one is a enough, maybe.
If not,
i have to find a solution...
The space in height is limited,
so i don't know exactly when and where doing the topping.
And i also know i have to give to the plants the time to heal.
I'll decide, it's a work in progress.

Here we go!
The seeds are all sprouted and i have put them in grow room for the Gas Lantern Routine.
For one week they stay in the plastic glasses,
after that,
they will move in the definitive 3L texpots.

I laugh a lot. It is not an insult, just joy :)
The only place I have seen logout is under "Gallery" at the bottom of the page.



All 5 seeds sprouted at once - you will fill your tent - in a good way. :rofl:


Gas lantern routine always sounded interesting. I think it started as a way to veg under sunlight.
Why did you choose this light timing instead of 20/4, 18/6, or 16/8?

Because i like to experiment.
There isn't a reason.
I saw we have a strain in common!
The Lilly of Delicatessen,
you have marked it as Ace Seeds,
the breeder is an italian,
Mario Bellandi.
I hope we will have good things from this seed,
named also as "Pina Colada"!
Yummy.
I hope to fill my tent,
but the Mandala #1 are regular so is a 50/50.

I have grown a Northern Lights - But probably not a high quality Northern Lights. I like the strain.

Lilly has been a slow grower for me. She did not like the 2 liter pot size, grew quickly when I moved her to a 4 liter, and just moved to a 35 liter. Now that Lilly is in a 35 liter, I expect she will be read to put into flower in April.

My wife needs some good 'daytime' weed. I hope Lilly will become a favorite :)

I can listen to Italian for days. :) I've been to Tuscany and Umbria 8 times - and nowhere out of North America except Italy and Hawaii. Bravissimo. La Bella Toscana

i have moved the plants in the 3L texpot.

i don't know if all is right,
maybe they are growing slowly.
Keep going! I say to myself.
I'm trying to respect the cycle dry/wet,
so for now,
nothing SWICK.
What i want to achieve is a good root system.
Any advice is welcome!

i use the sprayer.
If it is wrong,
i quit immediately.
For now is it only water,
after,
maybe at 21 days,
i have programmed to use kelp/seaweed as foliar feeding.

What color temperature is best for a full cycle single cob led?
3500K or 4000k?
I know 4000k has more blue spectrum good for vegetative,
but maybe is also good to control stretching in flowering stage...
All these considerations are about Citizen Clu048 1212.

With lights on, it is usually best to spray the underside of leaves. The water droplets on the top can focus intense light and create little pinprick burns or just generally stress the leaves. No light intensity problems on the undersides of leaves.

For foliar contact sprays, the spray is made to contact bugs where the bugs live. Many bugs live on the bottoms of leaves. Some live on the top. Day or night may not matter much.


Foliar feeding and some foliar bug sprays (such as neem) are systemic sprays - they are meant to be absorbed into the plant system.

For foliar systemic sprays, the stoma of the leaves absorb the spray. Stoma are on both the top and bottom of the leaves, but there are more on the bottom. So spraying on the bottom side is more effective.

Also for foliar systemic sprays, during the day plants absorb moisture through the stoma, during the night they exhale moisture, If spraying at night, the moisture mostly evaporates. If spraying in the day, the plants absorb more of the moisture. If spraying on the top (sunny) side of the leaves, more moisture is lost to evaporation than if spraying on the bottom (shaded) side.

For foliar feeding, spray on the underside of leaves. Spraying in the first half of the day (the lights on period) is the most effective.
